You'll have better luck finding public domain films if you concentrate
on the output of small studios (Monogram, P.R.C., etc.).
The large studios renewed most of their movies.

Here's a public domain film that hasn't been uploaded yet:

The film you suggested is on the way. If anyone else has pd suggestions/wish list, I'm good for getting 2 or 3 a month and adding them to the collection.

I'm looking forward to it. If you rescale the video vertically, be sure to first use a pullup or delacing filter. Interlaced video that has been vertically rescaled is awful.
